I’m utterly disappointed with the news today that HTC Desire will not gave a taste of Android 2.3.x, otherwise known as Gingerbread. In a post by HTC UK in Facebook. The whole post is quoted below.
Our engineering teams have been working hard for the past few months to find a way to bring Gingerbread to the HTC Desire without compromising the HTC Sense experience you’ve come to expect from our phones. However, we’re sorry to announce that we’ve been forced to accept there isn’t enough memory to allow us both to bring Gingerbread and keep the HTC Sense experience on the HTC Desire. We’re sincerely sorry for the disappointment that this news may bring to some of you.
I can’t understand this because its identical twin, the original Nexus One has been wearing the Gingerbread flavor for eternity already. If they do not add those crapware with HTC, then for sure we’ll have more space. And why exactly HTC ChaCha with only 512MB of internal memory is shipping with Gingerbread?
I actually don’t care about the HTC sense experience. I don’t need it and I don’t use the crapware that comes with it. This could be the straw that will break the camel’s back.
So how? xda-developers, here I come!!!!
Wait, there’s so many choices here. 🙂
